Report On Drama Presentation (Tell Tale Heart)

On 9 April 2013 at Universiti Teknologi Petronas, my drama group, Orion had to make a drama presentation on a short story. Our drama group had four members who were Syakilla Aileen, Norfatin Najwa, Ain Syafinaz Samsuri and Fazira Room.  The short story that was given to us was ‘Tell Tale Heart’ written by Edgar Allan Poe. Before making the presentation, we needed to understand the short story first.The short story is a bit difficult to be understand it because of the high level English language. Just about several words that we did understand. So, to understand this story more, my drama group studied the short story and discussed about the part that we did not understand. We had used the Oxford dictionary to find the meaning of the word.

After that, we did some research about the short story and make a scripts based on it. We also prepared some props that we can use in the drama presentation. We were given about 1 months to prepare for the drama presentation. After we had done the scripts and props, we practiced for the drama so that the presentation will be good. We had to remember our parts in the scripts and act the scenes.

In our drama presentation, my drama group presented our drama to our tutor, Mr. Rosli Din and friends in the tutorial group at the Halliburton. We had acted our part seriously and with the emotions. We had to done our presentation about 30 minutes. Along the drama presentation, everything was going well. By doing this drama presentation, I can improve my communication skills and increases my confident to talk in front of people.
