UTP SUCCESSFULLY PRODUCED 519 GRADUATIONS IN 2012.

               12 October 2012, Monday - Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) 15th Convocation Ceremony was held at Chancellor Hall. The ceremony was witnessed by five observers from Cambridge University as UTP is one of their research partner in technology. "UTP is the best university as it can successfully produced well-rounded students and I also read from internet that they also got a nice feedback from industries because they work well; like an expert. The students were compulsory to do internship for 6 months, it's quite long, therefore they capable to work well in industries.", said McDonald, Head Department of Mechanical Engineering Cambridge University. This year, there are 519 graduates from UTP. 452 of them studied in engineering field including Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering and the rest studied in ICT and Bussines Management. Dato' Ir. Dr. Abdul Rahim, UTP Vice Chancellor said, "90% of our graduates are already called by industries to work with them such as Schlumberger, Shell and Petronas." The ceremony also attended by UTP Chancellor, Tun Dr. Mahathir.
