Dear Siti Aisyah,

How long has it been since we met? The last time I saw you was at our alumni dinner session recently but you did not bother to look at me. Huh, I guess grudges don’t fade right? It is okay although that incident has become an ancient glyph over time but it is still carved out perfectly in your heart and that is what bothers me. Anyway, I just wanted to say that you were shining brightly in your dress during our alumni dinner session. If I remember correctly, that was the dress you wore 25 years ago when you dropped that book on my head, right? Don’t worry if it was me, I wouldn’t have even had the time to say sorry as I am also scared of Dr. Balbir Singh, it is understandable. What was not understandable was that you would accuse me of cheating on you with another girl. Now, when you said that I actually interpreted the idiom ‘love is blind’ in a whole different way because at that moment I thought you were my one true love and you were blind. That girl that you accused me of cheating on you with is none other than my long lost sister, Syahirah. I am sure you are wondering why I was trying to avoid you for a couple of weeks, now did you know that Syahirah was a victim of stomach cancer? You only judged the whole situation from your point of view and left out my part of it. You and Syahirah have been best friends only for a couple of years so you don’t really know the truth. At a time even before we met, she was in love with a guy named Hakim, a guy that we know who studies in the same university as ours and the exact same guy whom you mentioned in your previous letter. One day they made a rash decision to run away from home and my sister did not realize that Hakim only seeks women for his own pleasure. My sister was very angry with Hakim after he broke up with her so she decided to lie to me about the relationship between you and Hakim just to make me mad enough to start a fight with him. She forgot that I am much more of a peace-loving man so I decided to investigate this and only got the truth recently. At that time when I accused you of cheating with Hakim, I did not know the truth so I apologize for that. Furthermore, I was the one who told her to seek forgiveness from you on your wedding day. Also, after you rejected my proposal, I started thinking about my own life and I thought that losing in love is not the end of the world so now I have decided to start travelling to places I have never been before with my family.
