Affect Of Smoking In Our Health
Have you smoked
cigarette before?I belive that someone around you such as your friends,cousins
or even your family members have smoked before.So in this essay,I want to aware
you the effects of smoking in our health,the effects of smoking to people
around us and the way to overcome the problem.
There are many
negative effects of smoking in our health.As well as nicotine,there are more
than 4000 chemicals in tobacco smoke of which many are poisons.At least 60 of
these chemicals cause cancer.When you breathe in tobacco smoke,some tar is
deposited in the lungs.Your lungs are lined with tiny hairs that help ‘sweep’
germs and other things out of your lungs.It is harder for these hairs to move
of your lungs are coated with tar.The tar in cigarette smoke contains chemicals
called carcinogens which encourage the development of cancer cells in the
body.Smoking also leading cause of heart disease,two of the main cardiovascular
disease.Smoking damages the lining of your arteries.Some particles in the smoke
seem to help ‘bad’ cholesterol in the blood stick to blood vessels.This leads
to a build up of fatty material and finally heart disease.
Smoking is not
only affect our health,it also affect to people around us.Numerous research
studies in the United States and overseas have found that smoking and exposure
to secondhand smoke among pregnant women is a major cause of spontaneous
abortions,premature births,stillbirths and many other complications.Smoking by
fathers prior to conception and while the mother is pregnant may also increase
the risk of childhood cancer,mental retardation and respiratory problems among
offspring,even when the mother does not smoke.Inhaling secondhand smoke,also
called ‘passive smoke’ or ‘environmental tobacco smoke’ may be even more
harmful than actually smoking.Secondhand smoke is especially harmful to people
who already have asthma.When a person with asthma is exposed to secondhand
smoke,he or she is more likely to experience the wheezing.
So there is a few
ways to overcome this smoking problem.Develop a strong dislike for cigarettes
and smoking.This is probably the first step of getting over this harmful
cigarette addiction.You must start hating this smoking stick and at the same
time you must decide not to touch it even again in your life.Involve youself a
different type of medicine.It is found that many people take up a different
habit for getting rid of smoking.Some people have found it extremely effective
to start taking medicine such as ‘Niquitine’ just at the moment they felt the
strong urge of smoking.
As a human being
that have a good sanity,we must know the negative effect of cigarette to our
health.I hope the smoking habit among smokers can be reduce so that we can live
in a healthy life.
