H1N1 Epidemic Outbreak Getting Worse Globally

According to the statistics done by World Health Organisation, there are one in every 10 people infected by H1N1 globally. H1N1 is a type of disease transmitted from birds to human and often manifests itself in the form of high fever that can last for a few weeks. H1N1 is a particular dangerous disease especially for children and elderly as they have weak immune system. We must find out the causes, effects and ways to overcome H1N1.

There are a few reasons that cause the disease to be transmitted to the human. The main cause is due to close human contact with birds. Very often, those who rear chicken or ducks are prone to H1N1. The H1N1 virus is mutated to enable transmission from birds to human. When one person is infected, other people around that particular person will also most likely be infected if he or she did not take precautionary steps.

The effect of the disease is varied and often complicated. According to a statistic, 90% of people infected with the disease were reported to experience high fever that lasts for 3 weeks. Most of them also show sign of vomiting and diarrhea. All of this is due to our immune system trying to defend our body from H1N1 viruses.

There are many ways to prevent the spreading of H1N1. H1N1 can be overcome only when everyone follows all the guidelines drawn by health experts. We will less likely be infected by H1N1 if we follow the steps stipulated by World Health Organisation. For example, we should always wash our hand before and after taking our meals. Those who rear livestocks should carry  out decontamination to prevent disease outbreak.

In conclusion, H1N1 is a very dangerous epidemic affecting people from all around the world regardless of races, religions, and nationalities. Therefore everyone should bear the responsibility to eliminate the disease for the sake of our country and family.
