Oubreak of H1N1 in Tronoh
14 Dis, Tronoh- 12 villagers have been confirmed by the hospital spokesman of contracting the latest HIN1 disease. All of them have been hospitalized of 2 weeks due to consistent high fever and vomiting. All villagers were found to be living near to each other. The H1N1 viruses were believed to have been transmitted from chickens or birds to human. Due to their illnesses, they have been separated from other patients and also from each other for further observation. The livestocks reared by them had been destroyed by the authority to prevent further transmission of the disease. All of the patients’ belongings had been sterilized the day after the contraction of the disease. In another event, the Health Ministry- Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai urged people to stay calm and further assured that H1N1 has been under the ministry’s control. He also said that his ministry had come out with a emergency plan to limit the area of outbreak. He advised people to take care of their personal hygience and cleanliness of their surroundings. He added that further development of the disease will be informed to the citizens immediately by the ministry.
