DIFFERENCES AND SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THE YOUNG MAN AND THE HUSBAND

  Have you ever read the short stories of ‘The lady or The Tiger ‘ and ‘ Death By Scrabble’ ? The short story ‘Death By Scrabble’ is written by Charlie Fish while ‘The Lady or The Tiger’ is written by Frank Stockton. The short story ‘ Death By Scrabble’ is narrating a death process of the husband after cheating his wife in a scrabble game while ‘The Lady or The Tiger’ is narrating about an accused young man is summoned by the King to decide his own fate in the arena . the young man in the ‘Lady or The Tiger’ and the husband in ‘Death By Scrabble’ have shared some similarities and differences of their characteristics .

  Both of them have shared some similarities of their characteristics . Both of them have deceived someone else for particular purpose . The young man has cheated on the King to fall in love with the princess as it is out of circumstance and regulations for an ordinary man to fall in love with royal family while the husband has playing cheat on his wife in the scrabble game to be able to win the game . Both of their destiny and fates  are decided by a woman who appears in their lives . Furthermore , they have gone through a lots of hardships at where the young man has passed through a lots of obstacles to be able to in love with the princess while the husband is in the hardships during his dying moment .

  Other than that , both of them also share some differences in the characteristics as they have unambiguous personality . The husband is not really sincere with his wife while the young man is sincere towards the princess . Both of them have different ages as the husband is older than the young man . Both of them have the different feelings towards the woman that appear in their lives . The husband really hates his wife as he tries to rearrange some murderous words for his wife and expresses his hatred by the scrabble letter while the young man is loving the princess as he is willing to gone through a lots of hardships to be able to in love with the princess .

  The similarities between them are both of them are deceitful , their destiny are decided by a woman and they have gone through a lots of hardships while the differences between them exists in their sincerity towards their lovers , their ages and their feelings towards their partner . As a conclusion , we should learn from the failure and keep firm as the proverb says , “ the beauty of the rain is not waiting the storm to pass through , but learning how to dance inside the pouring rain .”
