RESEARCH ON THE NUMBER OF UTP STUDENTS HAVE TWITTER ACCOUNT

Do university students up to date to the latest social network? On 11 March 2013, I had been done a research in Group 8 of English Tutorial from 5.30 pm to 6.00 pm at Lecture Room 12 which is located at Block N of University Technology Petronas campus. I wanted to know how many UTP students have twitter account. The group members consist of variety races such as Malay, Indian , Chinese and some international students. The local students come from Kelantan,Johor,Perak,Sarawak and etc. The religious of participants are Islam,Buddhism and Hindu. All of them have an average of 18 years old which conssist of 7 males students and 13 females students. They are taking Civil Engineering, Petroleum Engineering and Electric and Electronic Engineering. 

From the research that I had done, I found that 55% which are out of 11students are having twitter account.Some of them guve their twitter account username.However there are also student who have twitter account but forget her or his username,account and password. A student does not give respond whethet he or she has twitter acount or not but just saying his or her username. About 34% which are out of 7 students does not have twitter account. They don't like twitter and some of them hate twitter. There are 1% which are out of 1 student answer yes. But he or she say do not have Facebook account. 

Based on the research that I had done, majority of the students are having twitter acount. This is probably because they realised the impotance of stay up to date to the latest technology. However there are alo students who do not answer the question whether he or she had twitter account or not. There are also students who answer the question correctly. However they still give the cooperation to help the research to be done.
