THE MAIN CHARACTERS FROM DIFFERENT SHORT STORY

Do you know who are the main characters in in “The Lady or The Tiger” and “Death by Scrabble” ? The main character in the short story “The Lady or The Tiger” is young man whereas the main character in the short story “Death by Scrabble” is husband. In the following paragraphs, I would like to talk about the differences between these two main characters and the similarities of these two main characters from different short stories.

First and foremost, I would like to talk about the differences between two main characters which are the young man and the husband. In the short story “The Lady or The Tiger”, the young man really loves the princess. He loves the princess very much although he knows that his life might be in danger because having a relationship with a king’s daughter. But, in the short story entitled “Death by Scrabble”, different situation has happened. In this short story, the husband really hates his wife. He hates his wife because his wife always asks him to do the things that he dislike such as playing the scrabble. So, here, we could see the differences between the young man and the husband.

Secondly, I would like to talk about the similarities between these two main characters, the young man and the husband. Both of these main characters have the same gender. Both of them are a male. Besides that, both of them are also brave. In the short story “The Lady or The Tiger”, the young man brave himself to accept his punishment to choose between two doors in the king’s arena after the king knew that the young man having a relationship with his daughter. The young man has to choose one of the two doors that contain a lady and a tiger. In the short story “Death by Scrabble”, the husband braves himself to accept the challenge by his wife to play the scrabble together. Although he does not want to play it, but he braves to fight with his wife in the scrabble game.

As the conclusion, there are many differences and similarities between the main character in the short story “The Lady or The Tiger” and “Death by Scrabble”. But, in my opinion, I would like to choose the young man compared to the husband because the young man is a kind person.
