CAUSES AND EFFECTS ESSAY

Task : The husband had to play the game with his wife. Write a causes and effect essay of about 350 words of the husband being there to play the game with her eventhough he has other plans. Provide a suitable title.

          The Husband's Intentions Behind His Actions In Playing Scrabble With Her

          Was the husband planning something to get rid of his wife ? Death By Scrabble is a short story written by Charlie Fish where the text is about the hatred between husband and wife and how they try to get rid of each other through the game of scrabble. The following paragraph is about the causes and effects of the husband playing  scrabble with his wife eventhough he has other plans to do.

          There are few causes for the husband to play scrabble with his wife. First and foremost , he has been forced by his wife to play scrabble together. Besides , he planned to get rid of her by playing with the words that could affects her badly. This can be seen when he tries to play the words like ' MURDER' , 'KILL' and 'STAB' hoping that the wife will die. Moreover, the weather is blistering hot for him to do outdoor activities as he wished for. This can be seen when he stated that the only that he can do on that hot Sunday afternoon is to play scrabble with her.

          There are also many effects for the husband playing scrabble with his wife. The first effect is both of the husband and wife hate each other even more. This can be seen when he feels he want to kill his wife after she plays the word 'JINXED'. Next , the husband is choking to death after the wife plays the 'DEATH'. This can be shown when the husband fall to the floor and his wife just starring at him without offers him some help after he chokes one of the scrabble letter. Furthermore , the husband admitted that he cheats with his wife in playing scrabble. This can be proven when he really hates his wife after she asks him is he cheating.

           In conclusion , the husband plays scrabble with his wife because he already plans something so that he can get rid of his wife as he hates his wife so much. However , he faces so many consequences when playing scrabble with his wife that leads to his death.
