Woman's Dilemma Between Family and Career
Wirdayu Abdul Wahid , a 30-year-old petroleum engineer who works in one of the most famous oil and gas company decides to quit her job and be a full time housewife in order to give her full attention in raising her child although she has to leave her high paid career. From the statement, I believe that women should not quit their jobs after their first baby delivery. I disagree that women should quit their jobs after their first delivery of baby because for the sake of the future , increasing cost of living and make the women not independent.
First and foremost , women should not quit their jobs after their first delivery of baby for the sake of the future. This is because we cannot predict what the future might be. Nobody knows what might happen in the future maybe there is divorces or the husband dies all of a sudden. This will cause a lot of problems in the beginning if women faces that situation and they have to find the jobs back which is not really easy for these days. Keep on working even you already have children because we already have stable financial and does not only depends on the husband and other family members money if those situations above happen to us in the future.
Increasing cost of living is one of the reasons why women should not quit their jobs after first baby delivery. Women should continue to work because the women can not only help their husband to settle the household payments but also can contribute to the family. Nowadays , almost all of the things its prices increase such as cooking oil , baby's milk and others. Most of the women out there quit their jobs as their reasons are to give their full attention towards their family. However , their husband can support them as their husband are paid with high salary that can support their family throughout their life.
Moreover, women are becoming not too independent when they choose to quit their jobs after their first delivery of baby. This is because after the woman quits her job , she does not have any constant salary and has to depend on her husband fully. Working can help the women to become independent as working can bring positive outlook in their life such as confidence , time management and other things as well. The working mothers can also be a role model to their children and teach their children to stand on their own feet and less depending on their parents. This can also makes the children to understand their mother's hardship in balancing between family and career causing them to appreciate their mother's sacrifices.
In the nutshell , women should not quit their after their first baby delivery because of increasing cost of living could cause financial for the poor and average family as we might face unexpected situations in the future so when the women keep on working, they might be independent in their life to contribute to the family and have already prepare for the future.
